Pointless saying 'to win matches'. Everyone would take champagne football over pragmatic football if the result was the same (trophies). The bottom line is that Spurs need to finish in the top 6 every year, only then attractive football becomes a differentiator.

It is a combination of things. Mainly price, but also an entire calendar year with only 4 home league wins, and incredibly risk averse, boring football and a lack of progressive passing through midfield.

Our football is driving ne round the (u-)bend!

Hard to disagree with that. We are also without half a team of senior players in Romero, Maddison, Kulusevski, Solanke, and Udogie. I appreciate that Frank is not using excuses and is getting on with it by focussing on positives (albeit few). Gray is the answer to our midfield issues as a #8.

Not sure if you meant to put Udogie at RB and Porro at LB. Other than that you've just picked the same team slected at teh weekend that was so dismal.

Selective memory. After he cleared the ball he then ‘flexed’ stiff leg and sought the contact. Nothing like Danso’s. I’m a Spurs fan but played as a defender and I know.
October 19, 2025 at 2:44 PM
There was a little more intent to Romero’s. He straightened his leg and deliberately sought contact.

With only 17 first team players you do not really need a leadership team.

Note what your post suggested. Maybe I read it wrong.

So you’d replace Simons already?

Most fans want to see progressive football. Frank wants to make us hard to beat and pick up results. His system does not risk losing the ball in the central middle third of the pitch, we play long or down the flanks. Results justify the system in the short term. This is month 3 of a 3 year project.

I wonder if Frank watched the game we played out there last season? We totally dominated them by pressing and playing aggressively positionally. Playing a low block is playing into their hands.

It’s not just the players. It’s the tactics / system. This is on Frank.

I've been totally sucked into this now ... just watched www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/ulti... and may now need to go shopping this afternoon! They make it look so easy!
Ultimate lemon meringue pie
You can't go wrong with a classic lemon meringue pie, and this easy recipe is particularly good

It is a long way away, but Maddison and Xavi play in almost exactly the same space (that left half space), irrespective of their starting position on paper.

It does not look like it would, but the Sticks and Sushi Yuzu curd and meringue pie, is the closest I've managed to get to scratching that home made lemon meringue pie itch.
September 28, 2025 at 12:36 PM
We also had incredible home made lemon meringue pie. We also had a home made apricot crumble with 'dream topping' in anyone remembers that?

Looking at the time stamp on these podcast releases I can imagine Bardi and Windy heading off to bed after you've finished recording, and you pouring over the production/edits for 6 or 7 hours before calling it a day in the early hours!

Great work Gareth - will be buying both!

Let’s get to the really important stuff @notthatmilo.bsky.social is that a Kingfisher or a Cobra sitting at 1 o’clock on the delightful Indian Tapas clock?

This is excellent

Compare Arteta to Poch at Spurs. Took over a team in 7th/8th, got rid of senior players with bad attitude, built a very strong team, consistently challenged but falling short the latter stages of the league and Europe, not backed properly to buy the finishing pieces of their jigsaw.

I think his toe injury preceded his quadricep injury back in Nov. Reckon he might need an op if its been bothering him for so long.

Yes.
