I was shocked recently to discover an old book in my father’s collection with a Swastika on the front. Turns out it was a 1920s book when the symbol was widely used as a general stylish motif; a practice that rapidly fell out of favour after 1933. I was worried for while there.

How odd. Why have separate bins if they’re going to throw them all together? The mind boggles

Yes, I was appalled. The council website says they recycle textiles but take them down to the tip and they say just throw them in landfill. I was glad to find the Dunelm scheme.

I take my old fabrics to dunelm who claim they will recycle them. Our local tip just throws them directly in landfill. Don’t even bother with a separate bin

Sadly it has taken up residence in our wall light in the lounge. I’m all for being friendly but it can’t stay there for the winter and keep buzzing around. Left it for tonight. Hope to coax it out in the morning.

We had a conversation earlier with a neighbour about how none of us are norm. We don’t do norm. Norm is dull. Better to be an ‘experience’ 😀
