The event was very well attended with stalls from many groups who work with & support those living with dementia.

Spent the morning at Wakefield Street Kitchen with Maureen & Mick - sorting 100s of creates, sorting into different categories.

We must have handled 1000s of items from can of pop to coffee, toys to diy stuff & everything in between!

All items to be given to local food banks & community groups.

We started the day with an Advice Session in Horbury Library. A relatively quiet start to the day, except we bumped in this dodgy looking bloke in a red coat!

At the Horbury Civic Society Annual Awards evening. We gave out an award to Wakefield Council's StreetScene for their great work in our parks

We announced the winner of the Dining Club's Restaurant of the Year

A wonderful event at the Christmas Tree on Horbury Road in South Ossett

Despite the rain, the atmosphere was warm & a great time was had by all as we sang Carols around the tree

Deb & Gwen popped down to the Pride in Horbury Bridge Wreath Makers Cave this morning.

They were hard at work making Christmas decorations for their famous bridge!

Christmas Lights, Santa, Donkeys, Christmas Trees, Entertainment and a traditional Methodist Church Fayre - it must be Christmas in Horbury!

Thank you to Santa our funders & all the volunteers who helped we 3 stage our Christmas light switch on.

You may have noticed that the Tree Sculptures have new locations in Carr Lodge Park.

These wonderful pieces of unique artwork will soon be joined by 5 ............. well you'll have to wait and see😂

We called in to Horbury Library this morning to see the finishing touches being completed on our new Community Room.

We three obtained the funding to build this new room which can be used by many local groups. Visit the library for more information about using this new space

Busy morning & the day has just started!

Called into our 3 Food Banks & made donations from UNITE the Union.

The donations are to help them with costs over the festive season.

Calling at Resource Food Bank, St George's Community Centre and Wakefield Street Kitchen in their new Ossett home.

We are still looking for a home for two more trees in 2025 - any suggestions in South Ossett?

We were asked by residents of Horbury Junction, if they could have a Christmas Tree.

Well it has been planted and is looking great.

We have planted four Christmas Trees across the Ward and are now looking for new sites for 2025 - any ideas?
