But I encourage you to learn the multi-faceted truth of gender affirming care! Because usually it’s not scary at all. Most gender affirming care is simple, non-invasive, and relevant to both cis and trans people in different situations.

People too frequently weaponize gender affirmation and gender diverse health care and try to convince us that evil doctors are mutilating children, that trans people shouldn’t exist or receive the same health care I was offered. 🪡

All of these things help me, personally, feel feminine and comfortable in my body. I don’t currently need a hormone therapy, but I certainly haven’t ruled it out. 🪡

of coping with various male-pattern aesthetics. Nobody blinked an eye at prescribing me this treatment because I am a cis-woman.
Today, my gender affirming care looks like shaving my face daily (w/ a men’s razor bc pink tax), coloring and braiding my hair, and wearing flowy sleeves or fun glasses.🪡

I was diagnosed at 15. And at fifteen is when my first doctor recommended HRT (hormone replacement therapy). Yep, the same HRT that media sometimes villainizes for its use in trans healthcare. HRT would not have “cured” my PCOS, but was prescribed to lessen the “distress” 🪡
