Just can’t face the day

He may be turning 9 years old but he will always be “puppy” to us. 🥰

I can’t find the words to create a post. Not here or any social media. This election broke me, and I’m not even optimistic about the future here in the US. I’m exhausted, I’m still sad, disappointed and mostly angry. My world is very small now, I will keep the tv off. My sanity is more important.

The book my son is reading for his “non-internet” source for a chemistry report. I’d rather watch paint dry. Glad he’s smarter than I.

I hate the feeling I have now when I’m out at the grocery store and all I can feel is I am among “them” - the people who voted to end our democracy, to end freedom, to put sex offenders in high positions. I’m sure our founding forefathers would be disgusted. I’m struggling but I’ll fight back.

Such a long day but finished painting the kitchen, cleaned and mopped, even did a Costco run. Now sitting down with a glass of wine and watching the Wizard of Oz. 😊
