Mine woke me up at 2:30 to go out, then wandered around the house until I finally convinced him to go to bed. Of course, then *I* couldn't sleep. Going to work this morning was brutal.

It’s pretty funny, actually: I’m not afraid of or grossed out by almost anything, except sharks. And even that’s more a healthy respect. But my husband gets SUCH a kick out of the idea that I have an Achilles heel and loves to tease me about it. Shark week at our house is…something.

I don’t like sharks or horror movies, but I watch that one when it’s on simply because it’s *so good* and for the monologue. The book In Harm’s Way (fairly sure you’ve read it) is also very good.

I actually thought of this a lot yesterday. I would see POC waving at us from cars, honking their horns, smiling, and I totally understood why they weren’t standing there with us. I just thought, “We’ve got this; you guys stay safe.” In many different ways, let’s keep working towards our goal.

I was using some luxury fabric samples for a craft project. My dog promptly decided those were his samples, for a new blanket, thank you very much. Did I sew him a blanket with the leftover samples? What do you think? 😂🥰🐾
