We have mobilized preparedness efforts, and have medications and hurricane preparedness kits, provided by our gift-in-kind partners like @directrelief.org, on hand. We are thinking of all of those in the path of the storm. We will continue to provide updates as the situation progresses.

Our team is closely monitoring the projected path of Tropical Storm Melissa. The slow-moving storm is forecast to bring heavy rain and strong winds to eastern Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica for the next several days.

Last year, our infirmary was nearly out of #insulin for #diabetic patients, since we had been unable to ship more due to the insecurity in #PortauPrince.

Thanks to Agape Flights & Insulin for Life, insulin arrived at our infirmary 12 hours later, where it was distributed to patients the next day!

🩷 On October 20 at our Infirmary St. Etienne, many women were screened after an education session on breast cancer. "I encourage every woman who has not yet been screened to come and invite family and friends to help us reduce the number of women dying from this disease," said Carla Magloire, Nurse.

Thanks to the leadership of Dr. Luxy, we have a new support group at our clinic. “Eleven children have been diagnosed with #sicklecell anemia at our clinic,” said Dr. Luxy. “This club is a way to support them, help them stay healthy, and give them hope for a better future.”
