I definitely spent the first half/two-thirds of the book thinking it leaned more YA, mostly because of the ages of the protagonists, but I also think the maternity theme skews it more mature again? I just finished it so have lots of thoughts flying about my head lol, my opinions may change

Have you finished? There are (spoilers but not really given the premise) some pretty graphic depictions of childbirth in the third act. I also think that bc Hendrix is known as an adult horror author that this is just generally being lumped in with his other works.

My vice atm is le poisson Steve. It is only by the grace of god (and living in a different flat) that my partner has not been subjected to me singing it at all hours.

The townhouse was gifted to the university so afaik there’s no rent. But they pay all his household bills, pay for renovations & redecorations, pay for his chauffeurs, and his business class flights. I honestly don’t know what his salary actually goes on. Does he have 80 of the same UoE tartan tie?

It went off when I was on the train back up from London. Whole carriage pinging, with some stragglers after. The British government clearly has no respect for the rules of the quiet carriage!

I was once the only person at a table for 8 for about 15 minutes. Not because I was early. I was on time. My whole family was just running late 💀

Very strong “pretends to be an ally as a cover for / aid to his sexual predation” vibes. “Who, Neil? Feminist Neil? He’s safe, you can trust him, he wouldn’t assault a woman!”
