This was a test of my Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 lens. Originally purchased for Solar/Lunar eclipses I have also been testing it on other objects.

Pleiades--12 NOV 2023 Nikon D750, Nikon 200-500mm@500mm, f/5.6, ISO 1600, 21x30sec. This was a test of my Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 lens. It is very sharp at f/8–f/11. It's less sharp at f/5.6 as seen here. Originally purchased for Solar/Lunar eclipses I have also been testing it on other objects. The combined weight of lens/camera exceeded the limits of my star tracker so some tracking issues. Time to upgrade another piece of equipment. Stacked using Deep Sky Stacker and post-processed using Lr and Ps. #astrophotography
