We know we aren’t ready to get Winnifred a sibling after trying last summer and having it go poorly and lord knows we don’t have a kitten in us, but Toast is perfect

I started off not loving this, but I was won over by how Grant so honestly describes the heartbreak of losing his wife to cancer. He expresses his deep love for her but also the challenges of caregiving. More dudes should express their emotions like this.

A slow burn novel about family betrayal in a very Christian Texas community. I loved the relationship between the two sisters & the ambiguous ending, but I wish there was a bit more focus on their relationship with their mother & grandmother. Overall a good read from the former host of Normal Gossip

I belatedly read I’m Glad My Mom Died this past weekend. It’s been on my TBR list since it came out in 2022. Hearing Jennette’s experience being exploited by her mum broke my heart. A good read on complicated grief.
