A pretty good report from the girls after their first 10 days with us. 21 eggs in 10 days (2 not pictured) is pretty decent for a middle-of-winter week of sub-zero temps. If we keep this pace up, we'll have extras for the neighbors by next week.

Mini-Urban Farm Step #1
We've talked about getting chickens for a long time. However, I can't think of a better time than now to do it. We can afford to absorb the price of a coop and now is an essential time to establish food sources directly within our communities and neighborhoods.
