Oh yes that is indeed a beautiful trail! I'll have to watch out around that area now, thank you!

I’ve been lucky enough to not run into any animals like that during my hikes yet. Do you happen to recall what trail those people who ran into the bears were on… I might have to stay away from there for a bit 😂

I agree! I used to be the same. I finally caved in and got a good pair of hiking shoes in the past year and I feel much safer and can now move at faster pace without being as fearful or falling, rolling an ankle, or getting hurt!🙂

haha! There's so many different situations to try to prepare for inside of a hiker's bag!

Thank you! I favourite hiking spot so far has been at the Sleeping Giant in Thunder Bay! I definitely wouldn't start with a hike like that as it took about 8 hours and was quite a long day, but if you do get into hiking and want a challenge, it's a beautiful spot!🙂

Let me know how you like it!

I’ve never camped there! I might have to check that out

I’ll have to let you know!! 😊

It’s so nice to see how open you are with this! With all the filters and editing online, it can sometimes be challenging when it looks like all these celebrities have “perfect skin”, when really they too struggle like us. I like the idea of recognizing that we all have good and bad skin days 😊

It’s awesome to see that you’re enjoying Sault Ste. Marie, especially the hockey! I totally agree with how important it is to put yourself into the culture of the places you go, to take on the best experience! I hope to someday get to do the same thing somewhere that I’ve never been!

This is so helpful! I’ve been to Peace once but have yet to try most of these foods and drinks you shared! The truffle fries are now something I have to go back for to try out! 🍟

I’ve definitely had times where I’ve forgotten to bring essentials like water on my hikes too! I find that mistakes like that, make me sure that I won’t let it happen again in the future!
November 16, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Thank you!! Right! It’s important to slowly build up with our hikes, so that we don’t injure ourselves or break down in our journeys! 😊
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Haha! Since it's so far up north, there's so many good hiking trails up there and views to see! Thunder Bay's well known "The Persian Man" is also a fun place to stop for incredible donuts if you're not super outdoorsy!

I would highly recommend Trap Rock for your first hike! It's only about 20 minutes up and 20 minutes back down! It's just 20 minutes east of Sault Ste. Marie and can be easily found on Maps!🥾

Yes I camped at the Sleeping Giant! I would highly recommend camping over there. The cites are a good size and are all pretty private and close to the waterfront! There's also no service over there which is a nice detox to just enjoy the outdoors. Have you been camping before?🌲

Right! Thunder Bay was absolutely stunning, I’m hoping to go back again soon! I’m excited for you to potentially check them out!

This is so interesting to think about! I notice myself making up excuses for some of my purchases quite often… I could definitely use this reading. Saving by making a keurig coffee is going to be especially challenging with Starbucks holiday menu coming out recently… I’ll have to stop myself lol

Thank you!! The suspension bridge is definitely scary but it’s very sturdy which helped with my fears too! If you try any of these spots out you’ll have to let me know!
November 8, 2025 at 11:48 PM
That’s awesome that you lived there!! Do you have any other spots up in the area that you would recommend?? 🥾
November 8, 2025 at 11:46 PM
The bridge was so beautiful! It’s also extremely sturdy which helped in not making me scared lol! And thank you!! I was very sore the next day haha but it is well worth it!

Ontario truly does! Especially up north, people forget about it a lot! Where’s your favourite place you’ve travelled in Ontario?

I love this idea of making sure to put ourselves first! I think it’s something that gets pushed to the back of our heads sometimes and forgotten about! I need to make a better skincare routine for myself to get this “soft girl winter” started!🤍
