“Controversial novel content, which is Latin for bullshit”. That is brilliantly quote worthy!

Given those examples, it’s almost as if this is satirical. Sad, as a fellow lefty, I used to like him too.

Pressure from both parties on hegseth regarding the double strike on the alleged drug smuggling boat and his order to allow no survivors. The attack on Venezuela would be a massive distraction from that so my guess is he is pushing for it asap.

Don’t forget, campaign on the premise that government is broken; get elected and prove they were right.

So, “affordability” is the new issue of the day.

Another distraction from… what’s his name? Oh yeah, Epstein.

On the one hand, Scott, you say it would have been better to give people money directly instead of filtering it through a government bureaucracy. On the other hand, stimulus money should have included means testing. How do you means test w/out bureaucracy?

Break up the political parties with election reforms. Those monopolies have been allowed to exist far too long.

The gov’mt shutdown, deployment of fed troops to SF, the Robert’s Court, and now sending of an aircraft carrier to further destabilize South American countries, this president has you chasing tails. Focus on an illegal target and get a win for us!

Just watched it and had the exact same thoughts as you.

Because playing at military is all he’s qualified to do. Frankly, it’s better he wastes time with stunts like this than making decisions that could affect thousands.

I mean, Republicans never really liked governing. They always preferred being the opposition/obstruction party. So maybe not so much of a surprise that they’d rather stay home than try to get things done.

Not to mention whining about being victimized by an escalator.

Republicans are not interested in good government. They campaign on broken government and then do all they can to prove they were right when they’re in power.
September 28, 2025 at 4:08 PM
I think these “broligarchs” (brilliant, by the way!), do not understand or care about the real risks of AI.
September 27, 2025 at 11:50 PM
Exactly. And republicans campaign on the idea that government is broken. So how does it hurt them when government shuts down and they get proven right?
September 27, 2025 at 11:41 PM
Democrats are always stuck during these times as the party of good governance. Republicans are like, “fine, shut it down. We don’t like government anyway, and our voters hate government. So why would they care if it goes away?” They campaign on broken government. Now they can prove they were right.
