As a child I thought that if you harvested the seeds from a green pepper and roasted them, you got black pepper.

I certainly did not keep believing this well into adulthood.

The Trump Administration knocked down the east wing of the White House today, proving again that Trump has no business sense at all.

Look at the number of people who own pieces of the Berlin Wall. With a tiny bit of care people would have lined up around the block to own a White House brick.

Looking at my own home on a real estate website and just noticed that the property tax listed under 'taxes' is more than double the monthly estimate for 'taxes' under 'cost of ownership'.

We only got half of the renaming announcement. Sure, Defense has become War, but Justice has become Defense.

Firaxis just did a round of layoffs. Management couldn't figure out how to make money off of Sid Meier's Civilization VII, despite $1.1 Billion in revenue from the series.

Shame they didn't game it out with some sort of simulation first.

Saw a Witcher at the renn faire today, wanted to say, “Welcome to Boston. My cousin wanted to be a witcher, he fought the Green Monster. Maybe you know him? Jerry of Revere?”

RIP Tom Lehrer. He'll be missed, but I can't blame him for leaving now.

I strongly believe that if a guidance counsellor had sat me down and explained that I could go to UC Santa Cruz and be Tom Lehrer's student, I would have gone straight to the honor roll.

On a spectrum between Paul Maud'dib and Paula Deen there must exist a middle: Paula Muad'deen.

The butter must flow.

OMG. I’ve been getting wrong numbers for Perry for years. Today someone said Perry’s last name and I finally found them. Perry hasn’t been giving out a fake number, they just have bad handwriting, off by one digit from my number.

My bank pushing their AI assistant.

I get it, LLM AI may turn into something useful sometime real soon, but it's not there yet.

At the moment the only real use for AI is to consume AI content so that humans don't have to.

Just so I’m clear: Trump is spending FEMA money on black ops SUV squads that kidnap people.

But not helicopters. I guess that makes a difference?

RIP Brian Wilson. That news surprised me, as I thought the 1992 BNL song was a eulogy.

It's a damn shame we don't have a justice system today, as it would have been really useful now that Musk and Trump are admitting to and accusing each other of crimes.

Another hit-and-run leaving an identifiable auto part behind. This time a 2017 Ford Edge (without the tow package) hit the pedestrian crossing cone, dragged it 100 feet and ripped off the rear bumper valence.

So the cone went all the way under that Ford.

PAX East was fun! Slightly surprised that Penny Arcade's own games weren't on the gaming PC's. Steam still sells 'On the Rain-Slick Precipe of Darkness', so it's not that it's out of print.

Netflix plans on using AI to generate infinite brainrot advertisements to interrupt their content until it becomes almost but not entirely unbearable.

I'm sure they've got all the AI-becomes-racist problems ironed out. Advertisers have nothing to worry about.
