I wish we had more room to comment, I would put a trigger alert ahead of this post. (While watching the show, I had to walk away for 30 minutes)

Before the food is given out or eaten, an elder blesses the food and makes a plate with a small bit of every dish made. That plate is prayed over and set outside. In the spirit world it’s told that the food multiplies enough to feed all the spirits no matter how little is put on the plate
