I used 2 cups water, 1 3/4 cup white vinegar, 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 4 tsp salt, 2 tbsp granulated sugar to make the brine. Veggies were put into a glass dish with black peppercorn and mustard seed and then the brine was added until it was covered! I doubled the recipe due to volume :)
