A podcast celebrating the music, history and fans of Max Creek — the legendary jam band. Hosted by @korrejohnson.bsky.social
Huge thanks to Michael Wegner from Cosmic Charlie for joining me on the Hooked on Creek podcast. He was incredibly generous with his time, bringing me backstage at Shank Hall to chat just before his band went on to perform in Milwaukee. Listen to our conversation in episode 64 of Hooked on Creek!

You know you're Hooked on Creek when your wall looks like a shrine and you're wearing a VR headset to watch YouTube videos of Max Creek because you live halfway across the country. This is me, doing the best I can!

Check out this ad promoting Max Creek's performance at a "Valentine Dance Party" back on Feb. 14, 1986. I wonder what love songs Max Creek performed that night to get the audience in the mood? This ad appeared in the Feb. 11, 1986, edition of the The Anchor student newspaper at Rhode Island College.

Huge thanks to Max Creek for another special night of music, friends and fun! The band delivered the goods both nights at The Met. And big thanks to Mark, John, Scott, Jay and Bill for connecting with me this weekend and giving me a VIP experience. Wow! I am so lucky I found this band!

I found this September 22, 1988, newspaper ad promoting a "Psychedelic Weekend" of music featuring Living Earth, Widespread Panic and Max Creek performing at the Mystic Den in Harrisonburg, Virginia. This ad appeared in a student newspaper called The Breeze at James Madison University.
