I'm trying to not get too discouraged because my brother was in a similar position with his first post-college job and he only stayed at that one for about two years, and now he has a better job with better coworkers. Trying to tell myself the same will happen to me eventually :/

Like I'm tempted to not be surprised by their behavior since most of them are rural pennsylvanians...but I am also a rural pennsylvanian who learned how to develop empathy and critical thinking skills so they have no excuse

But damn people really weren't lying when they told me how toxic the workplaces of animal-based jobs can be :/ I just wanna manhandle some mammals and get paid for it is that too much to ask

I would love to be my own boss but I feel like the benefits of an actual company job outweigh those of a freelance job...

It's such a toxic environment but it gives me money and covers my therapy appointments so I guess I'm stuck here until something better comes along and I can no longer stand my coworkers

It just really doesn't help that most of my coworkers are conservative and all they ever do is complain about each other over the smallest inconveniences (sometimes escalating to outright arguments and insults). Like man I just wanna do my thing and clock out!!

idk maybe once I finish my training I'll feel slightly better, and I don't plan to keep this job forever...but man is it exhausting

also annoyed cuz I gotta go back to work tomorrow and work with a coworker I really don't like being around + work outside in the cold for part of the day...for the next two weeks

"don't compare yourself to others!" I try to tell myself while doing exactly that
