"Always follow a well-informed conscience." I wish I could be public here, but you understand the need for privacy what with seeping Government control at the hands of a select few, along with bullies who have nothing positive to direct their energy.
Thank you for this post, Rep. McBride. Speaker Johnson's abuse of power is egregious-took paychecks for two months of no work/sent people home. Too bad other government workers can't afford that luxury (air traffic controllers, border security, other essential workers). Johnson not essential.

....and following up on my post, this is opening the floodgates for other countries wanting money. We've got no reason to bail out Argentina or Hungary.

Trump is clueless regarding fiscal responsibility. USAID was cutoff where there is actual benefit (not only helping people but for the dollars and cents folks, creating good will), and now he's paying off tinpot dictators? Since when does he control the purse strings and decides who gets this $?

Thank you for posting this. Yes, I recall Obama being called "deporter in chief", and you make an exceptional point: it wasn't a circus act designed to create division among our country, or undermine the unity of the "melting pot". Although I did not vote for Obama, I regret that.

I wonder if we are better off with Trump or with JD? Obviously neither are worthy leaders of our Great Nation, but which will do less damage? Or do we need such severe damage for MAGA to gain a conscience / act like adults rather than cult groupies?

Thanks for sharing this. Called capitalism run amok.

You and me both, although I confuse her with Nurse Rachit from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". Only way I can tell the two apart is that the nurse had more empathy.

Yes, too many private equity firms are scams. GOP doesn't like regulation, decrying it as red tape that constrains the free market, but the truth is too many are indecent and amoral, wanting legalized theft.

Trump has morphed from beligerent puppet of the first term to sadistic puppet in his second. Senator Sanders is sharp as a whip, knows his stuff, and would have made an exceptional President. Trump is not far off in age, and his feeblemindedness becomes more apparent daily.

I think there is a paywall, but the Financial Times is generally Conservative albeit fair-minded. Yes, it is extremely disturbing, and isn't ironic that one of the worst people in history gets due process but people who look different are guilty until proven innocent? (US citizens arrested by ICE)

And you will continue to be at the vanguard of heroic people opposing a dysfunction, dystopian, administration.
November 12, 2025 at 10:05 PM
I can't tell if it came from his mouth or his ass. Its a covered in shit, stinks, and full of hot, noisy gas. How did a monumental asshole relic from the 1980s not evolve and still become President? Don't think about that too much or it will drive you insane.
November 12, 2025 at 6:29 PM
He signed it? I'm guessing that the President did as well to make it official. This is such gross abuse of power that A) the pardon system MUST be overhauled to avoid future misuse, and B) if there is anything unethical and unlawful by legal standards, people like him must pay a penalty.

I liked what this voter's commentary. Actually understands what is going on an what is at stake. Good luck Mr. Ahuja!

Bad habits die hard. Also, there's no accounting for taste, and that's why the administration cabinet is full of teenage boys because too many people have come to accept immature and lazy behavior. I doubt Melania Trump came up with the phrase, but I must agree, "Be best."
November 12, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Sending positive energy your way, Kat. In a way, its "good publicity" despite being aggravating, frustrating, etc. All the best truth tellers have been brought before a court, and you will win by virtue of common decency. Not only a win in this, but hopefully a win for the Congressional seat.
November 12, 2025 at 6:13 PM
Classified?!!! HAH! "That's one billion for you, Javier, and two for me. One billion for you, and three for me...." Mr. President, that is OUR money, and you need to account for every penny. And not in the Trump-o-nomics accounting of a double set of books.
November 12, 2025 at 6:11 PM
Thank you watching this for saving me the trauma, and taking one for the team. And the unfortunate thing is that you'll never get those brain cells back (or the time essentially wasted having to watch a crooked administration like a hawk.) How popular is this stuffed shirt, anyways?
November 12, 2025 at 6:08 PM
So well stated, TeeKay. I drank the "Kool Aid" until reality set in and have seen the party for what it is. What do they tell their grandkids? "When I was your age, I had to go to a private school and wear a tie and jacket, study economics, had an allowance. You've no idea how easy you have it!"
November 11, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Thinking just that right now. Not only a better life for our vets, but their families and all of us. Government contractors vacuum up tax dollars for themselves.
November 11, 2025 at 7:50 PM
What next in this reality shitshow? Next it will be filmed and edited as a series on cable. Like "Dog" the Bounty Hunter, COPS or a bunch of other day-in-the-life shows and trying to glorify something that is not done by the rules. Entertainment is fun for the masses; politics = dull.
November 11, 2025 at 7:48 PM
Yeah, I am not falling for her sudden shift away from Trump and glad that ZETEO is pondering this. When did MTG get a heart? She's now been in DC long enough to play the game by GOP populist rules. Probably sees Trump as a rusted barge that will either sink or be retired soon and she can replace it

Excellent health care is an investment in the people. Have we become such a nation so focused on counting individual pennies that we lose sight of how a robust nation of people would build rather than destroy the country? We're a Fourth World Country...plenty of money but won't pay our fair share.
November 11, 2025 at 7:40 PM
Precisely. Its DISGRACEFUL what little is invested in our veterans particularly with regard when they return home. How much money goes to government contractors (do they still Bill $700 for toilet seats) while vets barely get the car they DESERVE. I'm not seeing the draft dodger doing anything.
