What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

Sooo many good rock and pop punk albums came out that year, but I'll go with this one. I even remember changing the colours of my LJ theme to match this album cover...

I love @nununoodles.bsky.social and I love this fic. It's got a great balance of humour and melancholy. To me, the story uses vampirism as a way to explore the strangeness and awkwardness of finding your people and your place in life as an adult.

Changbin's father, working to keep his family fed after bringing them across the sea, had been among them. But years later, Changbin learns that his father's death may not be the end of his story; some strange shadow is beginning to hunt Changbin, taunting him with trinkets and memories of the man who raised him, and the owner of a strange little house in the woods may be his only source of safety from it. Minho is a witch, after all. If anyone can understand what's come up from the mines to follow Changbin home, it'll be him. And as strange and wild and beautiful as the wood-witch is, Changbin learns through days of herbs and magic that they might have more in common than he first thought. Perhaps a little too much. Perhaps enough for Changbin to start to want something he knows he can't possibly have.

Grief lingers, like a ghost haunting you. This fic takes that idea and makes it literal. It portrays a slow descent into obsession and madness and is an absolutely gut-wrenching read.

He’s even gotten so good at predicting trends in floral arrangements that his shop, Paintbrush Flowers (logo of a paintbrush lily), has won several awards. It’s at the point where it’s all natural to him. When Park Jimin, a member of Namjoon's packs, walks into his shop, everything ends up turned on its head and all their lives start to twist together.
