This is a #queenbee in her cell, also known as a queen cell. #Honeybee queens have the longest lifespan of their species- up to 5 years- and they only take 16 days to develop! Some have reported longer living queens! In contrast, worker bees take about 21 days to hatch, and live up to a month.

We are a small, startup business. Our hope is to contribute to the efforts of various researchers and beekeepers alike.
Our end goal? To reduce or eliminate miticide and pesticide use in Honeybee colonies through selective breeding. We use both natural mating methods, and Instrumental Insemination.
