I wish a very happy “keep MLK’s name out of your mouth day” to all anti-Zionists who are too dumb to realize MLK himself was a proud Zionist and recognized that liberation for Blacks and Jews is inseparable.

I find it rather upsetting that I’ve spent the last two+ years correctly pointing out that Israel’s actions in Gaza do not meet any definition of the word genocide, only to have the people who agreed with me turn around and use that word (incorrectly) to describe what’s happening in Iran.
January 18, 2026 at 6:40 PM
There are plenty of good critiques one can make against US intervention in any specific instance. But if anyone says “intervention always makes things worse,” you can dismiss them as a completely unserious thinker. World War II alone completely disproves that (and it’s not the only example).
January 14, 2026 at 6:35 PM
People asking why Trump isn’t doing anything about Iran even though he said he would:

Because the man is a liar. It’s the number one thing he’s known for. The real question is, why on earth did you think a liar (and a felon and a rapist) would actually do anything he said he would?
January 13, 2026 at 3:21 PM
Why does San Francisco attract such awful politicians? First, a mayoral race where not a single decent candidate ran for the job. Now a Congressional race between two people spreading the antisemitic libel that Israel committed genocide in Gaza (when it objectively didn’t) and a third who was…

The day Democrats stop (incorrectly) saying “Bad Thing Trump Did is a distraction from the Epstein files!” and instead start saying (correctly) “The Epstein files are a distraction from Bad Thing Trump Did!” is the day maybe I’ll start to believe the Dems will ever hold power again.

Merry Christmas! Remember that Jesus was #Jewish, and absolutely was not #Palestinian. Anyone who claims Jesus was Palestinian is engaged in blatantly colonial rhetoric and horrific cultural genocide of Judaism. That statement should be treated like you would any other racist, bigoted statement.
December 25, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Is the Epstein file stuff landing for average Americans? Because I gotta say, I hate Trump as much as ANYBODY and it’s not landing for me, like, at all. I don’t understand what the plot is here. What do people expect to find in there, some kind of smoking gun evidence that Trump committed a crime?
December 21, 2025 at 4:16 PM
It is so funny to see all these anti-Zionist groups put out happy Hanukkah message.

It’s like, babes, you’re the ones the Macabees were fighting *against*, the people who want to dispossess Jews of their indigenous land.
December 16, 2025 at 4:59 PM
Trump coming out as a Mamdani guy is everything leftists should need to ditch the guy, but of course, they won’t. They agree with his brand of antisemitism so much they’ll never abandon him.
November 22, 2025 at 6:34 PM
Here’s the thing: I’ll go balls to the wall for a Democrat in any election against a Republican.

But in a primary? I will rarely feel strongly enough about a candidate to support them with my time and money. Which sucks for someone trying to win a nomination, I suppose
November 12, 2025 at 12:57 AM
The shutdown has to end. It’s never going to give Democrats what we wanted. We lost healthcare when we lost the election last year. We can’t ask 40+ million Americans to starve to death in December so we can keep fighting a fight we already lost.

ALL we can do at this point is win more elections.
November 10, 2025 at 3:15 PM
Notice how whenever someone says this, people respond with tons of specific things he’s said that are antisemitic, and they just get ignored?

And his actions speak louder than his words anyway. He spent two years making Jewish students lives at Columbia a living hell. He’s an antisemite, full stop.
Y'all ever notice how nobody can ever actually point to any *specific thing* that Mamdani *actually said* that was antisemitic, and how people are just baldly asserting it anyway
November 6, 2025 at 9:21 PM
Agreed. It’s a ludicrous technicality that it is ever shut down. Congress has *already* committed to spending this money through validly enacted legislation. All they’re doing now is refusing to agree to appropriate funds to pay for the laws they already passed.
Fact is, the US government should NEVER be shutdown. It is a national security issue as well as an economic issue. Both parties use the government funding as a political football and the American people are stuck in the middle. It's BS.

I’d feel a lot more sad about #NancyPelosi retiring if I didn’t blame her more than just about any other individual person for Trump’s second term.
November 6, 2025 at 9:15 PM
“But Mamdani has got young people excited and energized for politics!”

Yeah a populist antisemite got young people excited and energized for politics back in 1930s Germany too.
November 6, 2025 at 3:20 PM
No, we’re actually all very worried that an antisemite like Mamadani will have a mandate, actually.

When did “centrist” become the label that people give those of us who oppose bigotry, and “progressive” the label for people who are unapologetically bigoted or willing to overlook bigotry?
mamdani is going to break 50% and centrist pundits are going to convolute themselves in new ways to say he doesn’t have a mandate
Feel like we have a good idea lol
November 4, 2025 at 3:09 PM
There are two reasons to vote for Mamdani: you’re an antisemite, or you’re OK with antisemitism. Both are very bad.

He is not the progressive choice because antisemitism is antithetical to progressivism.

No wonder people hate politics. NYC is being asked to choose between a guy who abused women so badly he had to resign as governor, and a guy who gleefully celebrates the murder of Jews. There’s no other choice.

Since I’m not a Nazi, I’d have to pick the abuser if I lived there. How depressing.

It’s funny, two years ago I would have been thrilled if @scottwiener.bsky.social ran for Congress. Now, with some of the things he’s said and done the last couple years (which in retrospect were clearly to try and make him more electable), I’m very hesitant to support his campaign.
October 22, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Quick: what is the problem with Donald Trump’s presidency?

If you didn’t answer “he’s acting like a king” (and you almost certainly didn’t), then you understand why calling these “No Kings” protests is actively counterproductive. (And why Democrats suck so bad at winning things.)
October 17, 2025 at 3:48 PM
Can’t believe we’re going with the awful “No Kings” branding yet again. It’s like we liberals have no interest in actually making any kind of impact.
October 15, 2025 at 5:04 PM
I’m happy to give credit where credit is due, no matter how much I hate the person, but I haven’t seen a single convincing reason why I should give Trump *any* credit for this ceasefire/hostage deal. I give the credit to Israel’s attack on Doha, which is the main reason this deal happened.
October 13, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Also I’ve spent two years being told “this has nothing to do with the hostages, Israel’s just genocidal.” To which I said, an easy way to prove that would be for Hamas to agree to release the hostages. And lo and behold, they finally did—and the war ends!

I’ll be over here waiting for my apologies.
October 9, 2025 at 11:39 PM
Kinda funny how everyone who has been screaming for a #ceasefire for two years is upset that there’s a ceasefire now, while everyone else is thrilled.

Makes sense given it never had ANYTHING to do with a ceasefire, as anyone who has paid even the slightest attention knows.
