(Anyone please feel free to correct anything I got wrong. I’m a computer programmer with interests in chemistry and physics, not a meteorologist!)

This happens in my house too. We have a portable AC that exhausts air from one room to the outside, lowering the pressure in that room. This makes “wind” through the doorway as air moves in to replace the air that was moved outside.

As for the cause of the pressure differences: imagine both areas are the same temperature and pressure at night. In the morning, the sun heats one area up more/sooner than the other. Heating the air makes the molecules move faster, which means they collide more often, so it increases the pressure.

ELY5: If there’s an area with more air per amount of space (high pressure) near an area with less air per amount of space (low pressure) then the air in the high pressure area is “pushed out” to the low pressure area because the molecules are bumping into each other more in the high pressure area.

Slack, let me right click links to choose which browser to open them with challenge

Even Apple’s software handles this perfectly, and that’s saying something!

But don’t…

Chromium gets critical security patches all the time, and now Arc will not get those.

We had them for a month because they could install several weeks sooner than Quantum after we moved in and we got a usage overage notice in the first 5 days 😂
