The finale of (season 1 of?) Alien Earth was a perfectly imperfect end. I'm sure that folks will call it a cliffhanger, but while I hope for a season 2, I preemptively disagree. These 8 episodes were a complete sentence with a period at the end. It just wasn't meant to be a comfortable one.
