True. I may be conflating two time issues we had at work recently. The MFA issue was with a time zone config. But the Kerberos auth was definitely caused by drift from the ntpd service being off/disabled.

A real world problem this can cause:

If your computer clock and the clock at a service you use (email, bank, whatever) disagree on what time it is, you can't log in. Especially true if you have 2FA codes texted or sent to you. Those are time-contolled.
