They saved for 3 years, came on freighter in steerage. No windows, no toilets, no fresh water, just with a suitcase and $5. They all made successful lives here. I now feel their bravery 50+ years after hearing those stories.
I hope that bravery is genetic if it comes my time to leave.

The Alien Enemies Act expires 90 days after Jan 30. So likely worse will happen on April 20, after the protests on April 19.
