The for-profit healthcare industry here is motivated to keep prices high. Our drug prices have absolutely nothing to do with trade with Canada or Mexico.

If you needed any more proof that this guy has no clue about what is going on in this world here it is. The answer, Donald, is that they pay a small fraction of what we pay because those countries have Universal Healthcare and we don't.

I'd rather there be a national, single payer health care system for everyone. But absent that, non-profit systems would be vastly superior.

And because he was worried it would be an even smaller crowd than last time.

I'd have to watch it again since it's been awhile, but my recollection is that it was a fairly solid satirical take on the level of science denial in politics and the media, if perhaps a bit over the top at times.

I think (hope) Bluesky will achieve that civil positivity if we all are as quick to block the trolls as we have been on Threads. Dunno if or how the decentralized nature of Bluesky affects that.

I use the same handle I use for Threads, but I don't hide my name or real pic in my profile.

Why not use my actual name? I don't know, it's not to avoid recognition. Maybe because there are so many "Tom Browns" out there coming up with something unique is better.
