I know. But I was not going to send him straight to Cauet or Bigard, I have mercy on his soul.

Well, he was the son of a Tourcoing textile industrialist living across the border to avoid the fumes of his own factories. Hardly qualify as Belgian, or at least, no more that the half of the Nord département, I guess.

Meh, it’s not as bluntly « painfully aware of your actual state of body and emotion » and more like methaphysical psychological crap of « It is truth that I do exist as a subject of my own thoughts ». Very little humoristic material if you are not running a philosophy webcomic.

Haha. You kind of made my point :) I said « less ».
What would be French term be, « conscientisation de soi » ?
Or paquet de gauloises sans filtre ?

There is definitely less self awareness in traditional French humour. Like, there is no real equivalent or word for “self awareness” in french language. Coluche can be considered a corner stone in French humour, you can start from here and move up with Desproges and perhaps Devos.

Hot take du jour. Je pensais pas lire ça un jour.

Travailler sur les contenus du cloître et son histoire était (et est toujours) une très belle aventure ! Je suis curieux de découvrir l’épisode

Hey, I was not trying to hurt your feelings. We sincerely feel your pain.
It’s because of this that strikes are popular in Europe. We know that the moment we let the situation slip, our ability to collectively organize and defend our rights will be taken away just like that.
Take care

More seriously. Resignation is not possible, even in France. But. It’s hard for a government to wreck through whith their own agenda if they have to put out fire on the street constantly.
Trump is constantly gaining leeway by acting crazy and the noose is getting tight. He’s red carpeting Putin…

Yet you can tell this is self defeating.

Have hope. If Boeing can do it. America can do it.
Come one, they don’t even know how to make a plane that fly upward, _how hard could that be_

_Hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way_

Well. Why don’t you try to go on strike ?

Sincerely, France
