Sincere thanks to Derek Scally in @irishtimes.com who captures the significance of presenting The Objects of Love exhibition in Radogoszcz, Łódź, Poland .

Radogoszcz, now a museum was a former Gestapo camp where my grandfather, Pawel was incarcerated.

A profound moment of healing for my family.

My family exhibition The Objects of Love, first shown at
at Dublin Castle and @92ndstreety.bsky.social NY
opens at the Radogoszcz Museum, Łódź, Poland on 5th Oct 2025.

Radogoszcz was previously a notorious Gestapo detention centre. It was here that my grandfather, Pawel Rozenfeld was detained.

Below, I question Paul Kearns' (Irish Times journalist & self-described "Israeli Dad") understanding of the make up & psychopathology of Israeli society as well as his grasp of the complexities of intergenerational Holocaust trauma.

Conor Pope's recent article in The Irish Times on boycotting Israeli products uses language worthy of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

He platforms Steve Wall whose fanaticism promotes antisemitic lies including Israelis harvesting the organs of 'live' Palestinians.

A rare treat, Simon Sebag Montefiore in Limerick.
One of Britain’s leading historians, with a family story tied to Limerick itself. This is history not to be missed

Thank you @hawhitek.bsky.social.

So well articulated, & such courage, in this country, to stand up & speak out.

"It boils down to a treatment we reserve for Jews that no other ethnic minority elicits. Do we insist Muslims born in Ireland speak out more loudly against humanitarian disasters

My letter in today’s Irish Times in response to Sonia Harris Pope’s ahistorical, ill considered article, accusing Jews who do not speak out sufficiently against Israel of complicity.

How much more do the Uyghers have to suffer in order to be even noticed by the Irish Gov & media who are so fixated on self-righteous moralising over Israel?

So much easier to demonise Jews than risk business interests with China.

I think that is how you spell hypocrisy.

Good to see my wife Catherine's letter in The Irish Times last week calling out the double standards in Irish media & the hypocrisy, witting or unwitting among the Irish commentariat whose ignorance on the complexities of antisemitism is profound.
August 4, 2025 at 3:38 PM
1/ Two letters in last week's Irish Times demonstrate stultifying ignorance about Jews, promoted by a one sided media narrative.

Jews are no more responsible for the actions of the Israeli Gov than Catholics are responsible for the crimes of the Catholic Church. But in spite of

In response to Fintan O'Toole's historically limited piece in
the Irish Times today, I suggest reading my @fathomjournal.bsky.social article, which gives a comprehensive overview of antisemitism in Ireland over the past 100 yrs.

The omissions in his article reveal a starkly different reality.

"This report, partly funded by the British gov, is to counter denial, misinformation & global silence in what it says is one of the most under-reported dimensions of the attacks & to set the historical record straight:
Hamas used sexual violence as a tactical weapon of war.”

"Hamas & Iran were emboldened by the support they received in the West, days after Oct 7; Marches with Hamas flags, proclaiming them as the resistance, an explosion of anti-Israel protests on university campuses & the Irish President sending warm wishes to the new Iranian leader." We were deeply moved to hear Tomi Reichental at our Yom HaShoah ceremony in assoc with the Jewish Rep Council last Sunday.

Honoured to have Nuria Zyden, Uyghur Community Leader in Irl, light a candle for the 5m non Jews murdered in the Holocaust.

We remember & mourn all victims of the Holocaust.

Yom HaShoah begins at sundown tonight, when the Jewish community comes together to remember and mourn the 6 million Jewish men, women and children murdered in the Holocaust by the Nazis and their collaborators.

Yom HaShoah commemorates the beginning of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943.

"combating Holocaust denial & distortion-rising trends, despite the expansion of Holocaust education.

A complicated dissonance explained predominantly by the proliferation of online conspiracy theory; the two most trafficked subjects: Jews & the Holocaust."

My Irish Times op-Ed today ahead of Yom HaShoah this Weds 23rd April. The first official Holocaust Memorial day, it was established in 1951 to coincide with the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943.

The little girl in the photo of my mother, was taken inside the ghetto in 1941.

This Passover we honour Tomi Reichental, Belsen survivor & beloved advisor to HAI.

80 years ago, Tomi was liberated aged 10. He lost 35 members of his family.

He has devoted the last 30 years to Holocaust education where 20,000 children have heard his story.

Chag Pesach Sameach Tomi.

If you think that Francesca Albanese's behaviour as a UN Special Rapporteur is normal, think again.

Here are just some antisemitic comments made during her career.

Why was she welcomed by Irish academia & the President of Ireland?

"To be Jewish in Ireland is to be burdened with assumptions, and the captive audience for chilling rhetoric."

Thanks @gerardhowlin.bsky.social for this wise op-Ed. The obsessive one-dimensional narrative on the ME in Gov & media dismisses the rise in antisemitism while contributing to it.

Moving visit to the Pinkas Synagogue in Prague where the names of 77,297 Czech Jews murdered in the Holocaust are inscribed on the walls.

A place of living worship for 4 centuries, now a museum where tourists take selfies, undisturbed as the dead vanish into history.

3,500 Jews live in Cz today.
