I love this picture my mate took of me during my history talk on Saturday.

Hitchhiker's has at least four visual versions of Marvin (see the live radio play and 1994 collectible card versions attached) and they all look different, which I think does prove that this HP show isn't aiming for artistry at all. It's fine to not like any of the Marvins but at least they tried.

If you fuse Irish and Ethiopian, you get the absolute legend that is Ruth Negga.

What do you mean not every village of 5,000 or fewer people produces a global superstar? Come on Goostrey/Chelford/Lower Peover, try harder!

What are you doing for Pride Month? I've started it by trying to find some light fiction to read alongside the history books for my next history talk which are somewhat on the heavy side...

Big crowd in Manchester, despite the rain and the short notice, all saying trans rights are human rights! 🏳️‍⚧️

We've already had one film about a member of The Polyphonic Spree, just ~100 to go if their Wikipedia page is accurate.

Still waiting for Aubrey Plaza to put in a bad performance (even tho I have seen her in at least one bad film).

She could fix me.

Friends, let's all learn too much about each other!

Recency bias will obviously play a role in answers.

My grandads don't have Wikipedia pages and if they did I don't think they would look like these:

One of the reasons Portrait Of A Lady On Fire (2019) is perfect is Sciamma's use of wordless scenes that utilise two of the most physically expressive leads in cinema today to tell everything via movement. It could be a silent film except the dialogue is also perfect so keep it.

The day I realised the enormity of not having a SoundCloud.

I hate that I was right, BTW.

Levenshulme's Antiques Village. Three floors of former council offices, police station, and stables. Corridors that don't make geometric sense. Bigger on the inside than the outside. You can get a fry up for less than a tenner in cafe. Ask the glass sculpture seller for her life story. 10/10.
