I used to work for the history department at a satellite university. I got to know all the professors on the same floor. A Philosophy prof I was friendly with cornered me in an elevator and kissed me. I was appalled. No repercussions as a result but I had no one to report the incident to in 1979.

Musk has never read A City on Mars. I highly recommend it for anyone who is even contemplating living in space. It’s a fact based well researched book that is readable and funny.

I’m the only IU grad (regional campus)in my family. The others are Purdue grads. As a 4-H and farm kid, I couldn’t be prouder to have mixed allegiances.

However, given this current administration and our Indiana governor’s ties, we worry it might be revived due to the close ties with the tech bros.

We had a similar experience here in deep red Kosciusko County. A data center was proposed for a 550 acre parcel on prime farmland in the middle of other farms. We fought it as a community and the Planning Commission and the County Commissioners all unanimously voted it down.

Thank you! He’s just like the orange one in the White House. He is appalling and the Lt. Governor is even worse. Sigh, I love where we live geographically but not so much the people. I have lived all my life in Indiana and cannot tell you how dispiriting it is to see people like him in charge.
