NH has been struggling with a nasty infestation of Free Staters, a so-called “libertarian” movement that chose to move to the state a couple of decades ago with the sole purpose of taking over government, beginning with the smallest local elections. Now, speaker of house is one. NH needs penicillin.

Roger Ailes being upset that Nixon had to resign because the Watergate hearings were on tv every day and the reporting on them was accurate is the origin point of Fox News and right-wing media. This should be common knowledge and the starting point for any conversation about our media environment.

I wanted to say yes. Instead I typed: “I was already hyperventilating over an avalanche of asks & emails. We’re down to one small paycheck right now, and I’m worried about my kid’s medical insurance being paid. I don’t have any bandwidth & a meeting at 2. Should I ask the other deacons?”
