I have been so sad and discouraged. I kept thinking, “Where is the cavalry?”
Just returned from NBCC’s Summit where we were given our orders:
We ARE the cavalry!
Challenge accepted! @nbccstopbc.bsky.social
Mount up, bold ones! Our researchers can’t give up. Neither can we.
Deeply saddened that the ENTIRE TEAM at NCI PDQ Cancer Information has been eliminated.

Our evidence-based summaries were updated throughout the year with the latest research and supported informed decision making between clinicians & patients with cancer across the US. 🇺🇸

Here we go… FORWARD!
Here to kick off our 2025 #NBCCSummit is breast cancer advocate Marylinn Minor, who’s welcoming advocates and introducing NBCC President Fran Visco. #StopBreastCancer

Women (and men) with Metastatic Breast Cancer can't wait... Breast Cancer advocates won't either!
1/ The U.S. House introduced H.R. 2048, the Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act. This bill would improve the lives of eligible individuals with metastatic breast cancer by waiving Medicare and SSDI waiting periods. #NBCContheHill

Breast Cancer doesn't stop... neither will we!

Tell your Senators not to roll over! Tell them to stand their ground! Vote NO on the Continuing Resolution! Hard work and negotiations have already occurred throughout the year. We need the regular Appropriations Bill to PASS so it can support the DOD BCRP and other programs.
2/ The bill now heads to the Senate and its fate remains uncertain. We must keep up the pressure. Call your Senators TODAY and demand that they vote NO on the Continuing Resolution & instead pass their regular Appropriations Bill which will support the DOD BCRP and other programs

1/ Last night, the House of Representatives voted to pass a “continuing resolution” which extends government funding until September 30 but does not set appropriations (funding) levels for specific programs including the DOD Breast Cancer Research Program.

I’ll tell you this… It will happen on American soil. They’ll be coming for Trump and the real president. Elon Musk.

Medicaid cuts hurt all of us. Medicaid is not big government. It's your neighbors, friends, elderly, rural... all of us. Understand what these cuts would mean for those we love. Take this simple action. The fields automatically fill and you can preview the message before you send. PLEASE SHARE!
URGENT: The House of Representatives is expected to follow the Senate this week in voting to enact deep cuts to Medicaid. Please contact your reps and tell them: any cuts to Medicaid will harm women and men battling breast cancer.

Coming from one of the most Republican Republicans on Capitol Hill.
❗️Russia is a spreading cancer, says Senate Republican Thom Tillis, who just returned from Ukraine

He said he agreed with much of Trump's policies, but "Putin is a liar and a murderer."

Putin authorizes the constant killing and torture of civilians, and anyone who visits Ukraine will see this.

Chaos? ✅ Consternation? ✅
Mayhem? ✅ Pandemonium? ✅
Destruction? ✅
Yes, keeping that front of mind.
Trump, Musk, Project 2025, and Putin's goal can be nothing less than to sow chaos and consternation throughout the nation and world.

To replace the "system" with oligarchy, they first must bring the system down. We really have to keep that front of mind.
