The guaranteed income movement often point to the CTC and EITC and other refunds aimed at lower income groups as great examples of cash redistribution/ proto-GI.
I’d love to hear why this would be different if there is information I’m missing!

I actually work in homeless services! I’m also working with researchers who are finding that direct cash transfers are potentially more impactful on curtailing poverty. Happy to DM and send resources written on how guaranteed income (vs universal basic) can avoid affecting inflation.

I think this idea is so important for a time where we celebrate creation and desperately need sustainability. We should all recognize the beauty in commitment of the deliriously monotonous work that parents, workers, caretakers, and neighbors do to keep the world turning.
