- a plan for supporting those who lose their jobs/healthcare
- one of the demands being universal healthcare, to make it worth ppl losing their healthcare in the strike
- a plan for providing essential goods and services to make up for the lack of them due to strike

Things that might also help:
- Simultaneously calling for a rent strike - since many ppl may not be able to pay rent without income, if everyone rent strikes where applicable it will allow us to put more pressure on that system as well
- Many of my coworkers being down to strike

Mainly I would need reasonable confidence that the majority of ppl signed up are actually committed to striking, and demands that balance achievability and properly addressing systemic issues. Losing my job is a worthy sacrifice for achieving real systemic change that benefits everyone long term

(part of me wonders if it's to keep random club DJs from doing obnoxiously pretentious bullshit and make them just play the dang track lol)

Yea it's actually bonkers to me that industry standard flagship equipment doesn't have all the features that some of their other stuff has

Whenever I feel that way I try to remind myself that it sucks for reasons that are almost exclusively other people's fault.

I think framing the issue as "saving lives" by not polluting is part of the problem.

We're not saving lives by not polluting because that's the default state. Letting businesses pollute = letting them get away with slow homicide.

We should object to allowing homicide no matter who is killed

But if one becomes known for repeatedly letting problems turn into crises and only asking for/accepting help then, they may find that others are less willing to help avert the crisis or even distance themselves altogether.

Caring ppl want to help loved ones when they're in crisis - we know it's not always avoidable and asking for help is hard.

Asking for/accepting help even when you don't think you "need" it means people are helping you when they feel like they have capacity to. They can turn down your request or postpone the offer without worrying about what will happen to you if they don't.

When you're in a crisis, the help you require will likely be urgent and the situation will be emotionally challenging for everyone involved. Others around you may not have the capacity to help right then even if they wish they could do something.
