I’ve decorated blank cards with pressed, dried flowers and wildflowers from garden. Each is different. I just finished some Halloween designs.

A beautiful pair of Cooper's hawks staked out the back yard (No. Virginia) as they searched for prey. The resident squirrels and bluebirds appeared skittish, but the hawks were interested only in moles, voles, mice, and such in the dead leaves as snacks.

Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches for your Valentine’s Day viewing pleasure! You know what they say: like true love, roaches are forever—-sealed with a hiss!

Wishing all of you love and encouragement on Valentine’s Day! I don’t know how we’re going to get through this, but let’s enjoy some rays of hope through the storm. Cheers!

We’re freezing our butts off, but Spring is on the way! Snowdrops blooming in a tree stump, a purple crocus and a drift of daffodil shoots.

This evening’s sunset in Northern Virginia made up for the cold, lackluster day. I didn’t notice how much alike these photos are until I posted!

One of our backyard squirrels here in Virginia lives in a tree. You can see her peeking out of the knot hole entrance in the center photo. Oh, to have a decent camera! It’s such fun to see her run up the tree and dive into the hole.

A pileated woodpecker helping himself to suet on this icy day in No. Virginia. You can see how gorgeous he is even from the camera phone!

Snowing in Woodbridge, Virginia! Just a taste of winter here, but the kids are ecstatic. We moved here from Texas several months and appreciate having seasons now.

I created this tribute to my friend who is justifiably proud of her Welsh heritage. I decided the time for protection is this month in the U.S., not St. David's Day in March. And we will need not one fierce dragon at the ready, but two! The words at the top mean "Wales Forever."

Most of the Autumn leaves have fallen from the trees in N. Virginia, and I’m putting those pesky leaves to work. No more piling up in the back yard! I just moved here from Texas, where fall leaves are (to be corny) thin on the ground. Looking forward to Spring wildflowers!

I made the mistake of reading more Project 2025 contents before bedtime, and falling asleep was a challenge. I thought, "This has been a dark night, with many more to come." Trying to be more positive, I'm posting a photo of one of my favorite roses in my garden. Its name? "Dark Night."
