And there are plenty of cis-gender women who don't do those things. Those things are not inevitably linked to one particular sex.

What exactly did they fear more than the complete destruction of their standing, reputation, integrity? Losing federal contracts and the related security clearances was worse than that?
The quislings at Paul Weiss didn't even try to fight it, just instantly rolled over and committed to around 20,000 to 40,000 hours (given their current rates) of free legal services to advance incompetence, corruption, bigotry, and fascism.
