I have developed a new habit. At some point, post-coffee, I grab what is now being called my “emotional support Diet Coke”. I intend to drink it, friends. I do. Every single time. But I don’t. Instead, I collect unopened cans on my desk. Is this…progress or basic forgetfulness?

My coffee believes in me.

I know I should be concerned about ::gestures at everything:: but I am currently distracted by where that damn spider went while I was getting something to remove it with. 😒

You know what? This is a strange time to work in the financial industry. I used to think finance was about understanding numbers. It turns out it’s mostly about managing panic, including my own.

::sigh:: You know what’s humbling? Strangling yourself with your headphones while in a Teams Meeting because you’re trying to catch the stale cup of coffee your cat just knocked over while trying to navigate the trash on your desk. Or as I call it, Thursday.

Sleep and I were like awkward teens at a high school dance last night. By the time we finally got together, they were playing Stairway to Heaven.
