It's new @kjcharleswriter.com Book Day! It's better than Christmas, but also worse because it's not a national holiday so I can't stay home and read all day. Stupid work.

I've just found out that as someone who is not a UK resident in the near future I'll lose access to @bbc6music.bsky.social ! I've been a loyal listener for almost 20 years, I would have preferred being given the chance to actually *PAY* to keep on listening. @laurenlaverne.bsky.social

I'm usually quite content with my quiet, provincial life here except when I read news about theatre in London. Then I get green with envy! This is obviously only the latest example.

Lowden first appeared in David Ireland’s two-hander in Edinburgh last year. For its West End run, he is paired with his ‘hero’ Freeman

bbc.com/news/article... why we should not buy from Shein is one of my hobby horses, the people in my life probably want me to shut up about it, so instead of me taking your ears off you should just read about it on the BBC (via @lucamisculin.bsky.social)

Why do I love listening to 6 Music? Because it allows me to find new-to-me music that, as an Italian, I'd never come across otherwise. Today's find is Amyl and the Sniffer's 'Doing In Me Head'. Oh, and it's free.

Today in 1993: Nirvana’s iconic “Unplugged” concert airs on MTV.

“.. In the moment, you weren’t aware you were taping what was Nirvana's last album," producer Alex Coletti said later. "It was only in hindsight that it became what it became."

Just finished reading this, a sapphic romance which is also about trauma, loneliness and getting better and definitely more than the sum of all its parts! My description cannot do it justice. It's by the amazing @singlecrow.bsky.social, btw. Thanks to @kjcharleswriter.com for reminding me it was out
