Maybe not much to you, but for many PT users its a very significant and welcome saving. It’s a shame we have such elitists in charge if this lobby group & not those who are actually in touch with users. The Qld change led to significant & sustained increases in patronage.

Public transport shouldn’t have ticket barriers all. The approach in Switzerland, Germany, Austria & much of Eastern Europe is much better than the crippled station access in NL. If most people need to cycle to the train station, it’s actually a sign that the network itself isn’t properly developed.
