All I'm gonna say about parrying is that parrying in games felt really cool so devs made it their default defensive mechanic, which required it to be easy to the point of brainlessness, which made it less cool and also made the dopamine pop stop working. It's fine otherwise

What’s so disappointing to me about Expedition 33 is that due to dodging/parrying being effective against pretty much every attack in the game, the combat completely lacks any interesting friction.
