[4/4] I am incredibly honored by the amount of time they spent curled up on the floor pouring over my little story. I am so grateful as well for this first person to actually see the first chapter of #Shield&Scalpel. Bless you & your effort, my friend.

[3/4] I noticed an individual who went from reading/writing on the table to curled up on the floor, *intensely* reading and writing feedback over someone's writing.

I snooped. I walked by and peered down at the header of the document.

It was MINE. I'm super excited & scared to get that feedback.

[2/4] so I was a bit dizzy while reading. But I think the little snippet went well, and wasn't as terrible as I've convinced myself it would be.

There was a silent workshop, which allowed authors to submit a section of writing for written feedback. I submitted a bit of #Shield&Scalpel for review.

YES. In the scene, Sanal pops in and chases dad out of the room. I love that little bit, though it still needs a lot of tweaking in the words department.

Awww that's so beautiful to think about, thank you! I truly love the stories in that original series, and my characters, even if it feels a bit juvenile now, compared to my current writing. Thanks so much for the perspective change! :)

[2/2] are focused on developmental edits, plot/characterization concerns, and the occasional "this word choice is odd". To which I almost always respond with "eewwww what was going on in my brain when I made THAT choice."

In short, I found an amazing co-author/feedback partner.

Yeah, Liam's mom was the only person to truly love and accept him, his dad and stepmom put in motion the shit that left him scarred, and Michael, well, Michael broke his heart.

And yessss, dad shows up! It's uhhhh a charged scene!

Oh win! I'm glad you were able to sleep well. I feel you, I get so confused when I have a good sleep and the next day my mind and body are Ready To Go. It's like what...happened??

Yes! Liam really connects to good memories through the spices in the tea, in a comforting way to the last time he was really loved.

I get nervous because my writing and storytelling has improved SO MUCH since this first series. I stand by that it's a good, fun read, but it's still so hard to share when I know I've done better since then. *screams*

In this house, we hate Michael.
