My 86 year old dad has been at the hospital since yesterday. I just found out he’s still in a bed in the hallway. My sister says the hallways are full of beds. People deserve better, especially when they are suffering.

Highly recommend challenging yourself to take up something new. Six pottery classes and I’m hooked.

Maybe foot surgery is just what I needed to get active again. Five days sitting on the couch and all I want to do is go for a walk. I have a new appreciation for the simple things.

Foot surgery Tuesday and I’m nesting. Trying to get everything situated. Moving furniture. Deep cleaning. Mini panic attacks. Bringing everything I’m going to need for two weeks downstairs.

My parents have been married 67 years today. 67 years of love and patience. Knowing them both, I don’t know how they’ve done it. I’m just thankful they have.
