We ancaps claim Gandhi and Benjamin Tucker and Lysander Spooner. Anarcho-socialists can’t have them! www.ancapfaq.com/ideomaps/ind...

Most anarchists in the 19th and first half of the 20th century were socialists (in the anti-propertarian anti-usury sense.) Nowadays most anarchists are anarcho-capitalist. (Though some, like the folks at C4SS, still use old-timey Marxian jargon, calling themselves “free market anti-capitalist.”)

I think Gandhi’s rather loose definition of socialism includes capitalism - at least definitions 1 and 2. Which of the nine definitions are you using? www.anarchistfaq.com/misc/Capital...

Yes, and he used the 19th century meanings of those terms, i.e.

socialism - a normative theory of society

Thus, by this definition capitalism is stigmergic socialism. Cf: www.ancapfaq.com/library/Stig...

Gandhi *gave us* his non-standard definition of socialism in the essay.

Verified - Gandhi was *not* a socialist by standard definitions. Gandhi's non-standard definition is nothing more than a society in which everyone has equal rights. Such as libertarian capitalism. See the first paragraph of www.gandhiashramsevagram.org/journalist-g...

No, Gandhi was an anarchist, but not a socialist. He did *not* reject private property. The essay mistranslates "sarvoidaya," which includes free market capitalism, which also strives for "universal uplift" and "progress of all." Gandhi was a market anarchist aka anarcho-capitalist.

I blame Churchill, who stupidly declared war when they were attacking in the opposite direction which (1) started a world war, and (2) destroyed the British Empire. Churchill was the worst warmonger of the 20th century, getting Britain into *two* “unnecessary wars” (Churchill’s own words.)

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Minnesota seceded? I expected California or Texas to be first. www.ancapfaq.com/posters/pict...
