If anything, our price goes up out of spite. Monte needs to know if the best deal is a bad deal. It's still a bad deal.

I just can't stand that we are gonna let the FO that got us in this mess, handle this Fox situation.
1) they fucked it up and lose
their jobs anyway.

The "all in" contract was cute but I think brown violated it first. He wasn't accountable to the way he was tinkering. I know he meant well, was trying to find the best version of the kings, but I think it was his way of showing the players he wasn't all in with them. 6

After the beam team year, I don't know what happened with Brown. He lost huerter with the starting issue, he never settled in a rotation in a year and half. Played subpar players while "searching". I think this is the reason he lost the team. Players like and need consistency. 5

Yes, fans were frustrated.... yes the fans are still frustrated, we are fans it's what we do. But this is just a gut punch. Everyone can see firing brown didn't make the team better. There are reasons to be dissatisfied with brown, letting him go isn't wrong in itself. 2 things can be true. 4

If you fire Monte and the players don't snap out of it, you could have done something in the off-season with brown. Now we just look like a clown show again and the fans deserve better. But if the players tuned brown out, that's an indictment on them, let the season sink away if needed. 3

In hindsight, if they wanted to send a message, they shouldve fired Monte. 1) this rosternis his. 2) I don't trust him to fix this without ruining our future. Using future assets to fix is fine, but not if you fuck it up. Having an interim gm isnt great but probably fine for the rest of the year. 2
