Im getting concerned about Evatt Marc, especially after seeing that video.
Should never have been allowed to come to this.
No one should be subject to the pressure and abuse he has to face and it’s clearly taking a huge toll.
The board should have stepped in months ago. I’ve never seen it this bad.

I’m a Santos defender through and through. He has not been anywhere near as consistent this season but I put a lot of that down to lacking any cover in front of him and the rest of the defence getting worse. The point still stands though that all three of them looked better two years ago.

Do you think Santos and Johnston are the same players now as they were two years ago? Both have regressed massively.

Had a look back at the team from a couple of years ago that was built for next to nothing.

Since this we’ve spent at least £5 million (!) and I’d argue we’re currently worse in every area, and the squad is certainly much less balanced.

He talks about ‘the last 22 games’ as if everything was fine and good before this season, but it very clearly wasn’t.
Realistically we have been on the decline since the Vic/Shoretire window and it’s only gotten worse over the past 12 months. If he can’t acknowledge that I don’t see how he fixes it.

They both put 100% into every game so it pains me to say it, but we need replacements for for JDC and Jones.

Also sell off Vic to someone who will play to his strengths and sign a proper target man.

Must be difficult to accurately reflect the mood of the fan base whilst still maintaining your access/relationship with Ian and the board. Can’t think of another time when there has been such a divide. Parky was always respected throughout the Anderson nonsense.

I have read this article maybe 5 times in the last 3 years. (No fault on your part Marc! You can only report what is said).

If we turned down money for Vic in the summer, only to have to sell Charles instead I’ll be devastated.

The problem is that our performances aren’t improving and haven’t done for months at this point, despite lots of money spent.
We’re still getting some results but it doesn’t feel at all sustainable.

Dean Holdsworth drops out for me. Associated with too many bad moments on and off the field. Wheater, Hierro Speed and Anelka should be in there somewhere. SKD, N’gotty, Campo and Jussi all should be higher.

Not unpopular with me! He was my hero growing up and seeing him making saves in the legends match brought up some real emotion.

If theres still money out there for Vic I think we should cash in now. Hes good enough to be starting every week at this level, but we dont seem to play to his strengths.
If we can get a little bit for him and find an older journeyman target man type who is happy to be backup I think it’s a win/win.

Agree 100%. Especially considering we spent big last January to bring Collins in to ‘ensure promotion’.
I’d be really interested to hear what positions Evatt thinks we need reinforcing.
