Half revisit, half new experience. Played the OG in the first Xbox... God, this game was ahead of its time! What it lacks in style and combos compared to DMC, it makes up for in how smooth it is to play!
And I realized a certain character did permanent damage to a younger Chris

It's definitely a slow burn and some of the effects have aged poorly, but MY GOODNESS! It's clear why this got sequels and became a horror icon. It really builds up the tension until the creature shows up!

Wraps it up with a heartfelt story about the most troubled member of the team. Rocket really drives the whole movie despite not doing much half of it, outside of flashbacks.
And it's comic-accurate, because one creative (Gunn) has to deal with the aftermath of another's event (Russos)

Bit of an odd one, but I enjoyed it. A heartwarming message, funny bits, and you can kinda watch it with no context beyond previous GOTG movies (maybe Endgame since that also had an impact here)
I know, it's October. I watched this in preparation for...

Less depressing than the past seasons, which actually says a lot about Subaru's progression. There was struggle for sure, but now it's less lamenting and more acting against the enemy. Now, that's character development!
And the teasers for the future make me excited for what's coming!

The medical mysteries continue! But this time with a dash of political war drama! It did kinda sacrifice the former for the latter at the end... But it had a beautiful payoff thanks to a character I first thought I wouldn't care about.
If there's a season 3, I'll be there!

"Focus on the MAN, not the SUPER" has always been my ideal Superman. James Gunn NAILED that! This is a Superman that does the right thing because it's right, knows what the world is and still believes in what it CAN be!
Not perfect, but it's a banger start to this new universe!

As someone who never watched the original (I just never sat down to do it), I think this was a great movie on its own. It's also an interesting study on adaptations because going 1x1 can work on some things... But some of those character proportions just don't work on live-action!

Mix of a rewatch and first-timing the final season. Bit campy compared to other Batman media, but BOI! Was this a love letter to old-school DC! Owns the cheese, embraces the ham and makes a great sandwich with it!
Bonus points for exposing audiences to more obscure characters!

Strong start. Played well into the DID aspect of the character, and I wish it had leaned further into that hint of horror it had going early on. Definitely one of the better post-Endgame adaptations.

An awesome revenge movie with great action sequences and coreography, elevated further by the layered writing. The end in particular has both of these, with a deep monologue that summarized Bill's character followed by his VERY memorable death! Tarantino was on his A-game for this!

Overall a great show and a fun exploration of the character... But MY GOODNESS! They made it very clear that they were done with Kang by this point!

Relatively short, but extended by being absolutely BRUTAL near the end! The artstyle did a lot of heavy-lifting for me because I can NOT stand bullet hells!
A fun one, but definitely a one-time thing.

When I was recommended this, I was not expecting anime House M.D. in feudal(?) China. A medical mystery drama, I dig it! Gorgeous presentation mixed with a memorable cast, I see why people hyped this up so much when it first came out.

"By these hands!"
This felt particularly good, Strange was talking mad shit in text chat!

It took a while because this show is HEAVY, but very much worth it! I feel like this season's theme was about asking "How far would you go for someone you care about?", and it really does make you wonder... Have I done enough for them?
Let your actions show how much someone means to you

A surprise from PS+ that still aligned with my goal of finishing past journeys. I played this a lot as a kid but never finished it, and it brought back memories of simpler times that I greatly appreciate.
Ridiculously easy, but a fun platformer for a casual run!

In some ways an upgrade, in others a downgrade. The heavy focus on the Batmobile did a lot of damage. And how do you take a step forward with the boss fights from Asylum to City just to hop 3 steps back here!?
A great game, but not sure if the high note we wanted to end on.
