I’ve been thinking about how certain we are that we’re right and how to deal with that with humility without abandoning the obligation to strive for what’s right, and I thought about Lillian Gobitis, who died in 2014. She and her brother were expelled from school for not standing for the pledge.

A flaw I noticed with bluesky is that the list of "following" is sorted by who is followed first. The order can reveal a lot about a person, especially if you are trying to follow friends while remaining anonymous. Example, I followed PFT but @pftompkins.bsky.social refuses to say we are BFFs
