yeah I agree I mostly get the hardware for Nintendo games but they're still kinda the only portable in town and that format is just good for certain things. Also, surely all these sales are driven by the fervant THIRST for more Metroid Prime (lmao).

I don't think there's an expectation that Nintendo 3rd party and Sony/MS 3rd party are the same thing. Ain't nobody wishing EA put battlefield on the switch or whatever. There curiosities like DOOM and The Witcher but Switch is where you go to play your DQ 1+2 remastered or Atelier game.

even if you think Nintendo's software support for its own platforms is bad and not sufficient to drive hardware sales, Sony's is abysmal and Microsoft just lmao. Deep down I am a Sony Pony but they lost their way chasing the success of their main competitor who self-destructed.
