Saturday afternoon going out for a walk rewarded me with this.

Had Christmas 🎄 with my family at Whitemead Forest Park. Lovely walks in the forest were had.

In the grounds of the Tenryu-ji Temple, Kyoto. 天 can be read as Sky or The Heavens and 竜 is read as Dragon. The Sky Dragon temple!

I got to partake in 花見 or Flower Viewing. Typically, you hang out with friends & drink, eat food while enjoying the cherry blossoms. Think of it as a very specific targeted seasonal picnic. I found a tree with cherry blossoms when I was in Kyoto, Japan in March & had a drink while enjoying them.

Enroute to Zojo-ji temple in Tokyo I passed through 大門 or Daimon, which translates as 大 (Big) 門 (Gate) and there indeed a Big Gate.

Tokyo has a lot of casual green spaces that aren't full on parks, here's one that has a waterfall in it, it's back in the centre of the photo.

A photo of the Tokyo Skytree on a cloudy rainy Thursday morning last month. The elevator takes you to the first viewing platform goes really fast, your ears pop. I got to go up on a clear, cloudless day and the view was incredible.

Got to see my favourite Japanese band Sakurazaka46 perform live in Chiba in late November. An amazing experience. Better than any other act I've seen live. The local train station also had posters of them up.
